The house is organized around a central patio. The entrance, living room and kitchen are south of the patio. The bedrooms and bathrooms which are more personal rooms are located north of the patio. This plan organization creates a progression towards intimacy in the far end, towards the wood which borders the back of the plot. The living room benefits from an extra height which allows to enjoy the sun through a wide opening that runs above the entrance and the garage. This house is its own neighbor and repeats itself endlessly. This repetition adds conception constraints to heights that risk shading some areas of the neighbor’s house. The question of light and exposure, the sequencing of spaces and their correct dimensions are key points for this project.
