Plan du rez-de-chaussée
The goal of this engineering project was to design and dimension a steel structure. The building is designed to accommodate an ice rink, locker rooms and offices. These offices are situated in the main gable of the building and extend over two floors above the reception of the sport facility. The hall gives access to the locker rooms and seats of the ice rink extending along the southern side wall. The northern curtain wall facade allows diffuse lighting and views over the river Seine. The structure of the building is entirely made of steel. The 28-meter-wide and 13-meter-high trusses give the ice rink the necessary volume for sport practice. The office floors structure relies on a beam-column system. The change in structure between the ice rink and the offices enables to have two independent structures divided by a split joint. The entire dimensioning is based on Eurocodes and French Standards based on the specific environmental constraints of the site.
